No matter what you think of AI-created commercials, they’re here. And I gotta say, this one from NotCo is pretty good, even with a tad of weird. Maybe all AI videos have to be weird for us to ID them as such.
“PART TWO: Recycling is Boring®” by Boring® Milk
Yeah, recycling is boring, but no other beverage brand breaks down how recycling beverage bottles works! And it’s right up Boring® Oat Milk’s alley.
“Happy Christmassacre” by PETA
PETA’s Christmas ads are legendary, and this year it teamed up with Grey London and director David Shane to create this masterpiece.
“From field to flat white, milk… but greener.” By Boring® Milk
Probably the cutest origin story video I’ve seen yet. And it’s not that boring!
“Gaia” film trailer by Alex Lockwood
This is a little different as it’s a film trailer, but you already know the actual film is going to be good. Alex Lockwood (73 Cows, The End of Medicine) does no wrong.
“Would you kill for this” (series) by THIS
It’s been a while since we’ve had a solid publicity stunt by THIS™. It made up for lost time by opening a pop-up plant-based “butcher” shop in late November to a crowded lineup and then filmed this 3-part series about it. It’s a Christmas miracle!
My pick for the quarter: “This Restaurant Shouldn’t Have Survived” – Vegan Abattoir Ep. 001
PETA was almost going to win in a landslide, but Hollywood vegans Kevin Smith and Harley Quinn Smith had a podcast of the same name five years ago, and it’s recently been revived thanks to Jessica Cruz, the brain behind Vegan Street Fair and Vegan Creator Con.
I don’t live in California, but I subscribed to Kevin Smith’s channel just so I can watch these vegans eat. And I ain’t gaining anything!
Here’s what none of the other vegan podcasts are doing: securing sponsorships. And that’s how you do it, folks. (Random fact: I watched Clerks II and Clerks III for the first time this year, and Harley Quinn Smith makes an amazing cameo in Clerks III that you’ll only get if you’ve watched the entire series.)
That’s it, folks. Did I miss any vegan videos worth rounding up this quarter, or this year? Contact me and if you’d pay for me to continue this contact, let me know if you’d sub to a Substack.
