This is an archived blog from when I ran Conscious Public Relations Inc. from 2008-2018. Excuse the potential outdated-ness!
Earthsave is great. Since joining last year, I feel even more secure in my decision to be mostly vegan and vegetarian on weekends. I’ve learned some new recipes, and best of all, I get 10% discounts at restaurants around town. And not all the ‘granola’ ones, as you might think!
I got Earthsave’s latest newsletter today which usually includes the restaurant directory, and had two new, well-designed pamphlets: How to get your Calcium from a plant-based diet and How to get your Protein from a plant-based diet. Having had my set of tired days I know I can benefit even more from this information. Going veg is a great moral decision, but can also affect your health. My iron genes have always been on the low-end of the scale, so without eating meat I need to take supplements to make up for the deficiency. I have also made so many little decisions here and there that have contributed to my feeling – and looking – healthier.
Even if you do not want to go full veg but want to learn more information on how to do it and why, or maybe you just want that great 10% member discount, visit Earthsave Canada at earthsave.ca today.
UPDATE! I’ve just learned that VegFest will be happening tomorrow, Saturday August 4 from 11am-8pm on Granville Street between Robson & West Georgia. Get your veg on!
