This is an archived blog from when I ran Conscious Public Relations Inc. from 2008-2018. Excuse the potential outdated-ness!

So it’s been a pleasure of a challenge to blog weekly to whoever wants to read, but I am feeling now that doing this weekly isn’t necessary. Most of what I’m talking about is my personal life intertwined with my work self, and since I’ll be launching SandraNomoto.com soon, most of what I talk about will be more appropriate there, and I’ll have to reserve this space for what’s going on in the biz or as a CEO.

We’ve brought on a new and exciting client as of last Friday, and hopefully we’ll be able to talk more about them here. As it always happens annually, Spring marks the sign of increased hustle in our business. I just wish people would pick it up faster than they appear they want to in January! Maybe it’s because Vancouverites are more risk averse and they want to incubate and be more careful before they push the button. I don’t know, you tell me.

More amazing high quality conversations last week, one including an amazing Wisdom Circle session at the eWomenNetwork Strategic Business Introduction. One of the things I most love about the eWomen community is that despite us being at different levels of business, we’re ALL going through the same shit. Mud and clouds (as Gary V puts it). Work-life balance. Closing doors and opening new ones. Side hustles. Breakdowns.

Thursday is our presentation on Ushering Your Company into the Age of Change. I’m excited to meet some new people and hear their feedback on it.

Last weekend, I didn’t get much rest, but I got enough distractions from work to refocus this week and look forward to the hustle. Sometimes not taking a spa day prepares you for more emotional work. I’m continuing to try and learn from my changing relationships with family members, and the more I am open to sharing what sucks about this new stage of life, the more I feel connected to people who understand what I’m going through.

Share, people. Sharing is healing.
