Surrendering to receive support and connection

This one is for the ones who think that you cannot ‘get conscious’ via social media.

I am so grateful to the members of eWomenNetwork Vancouver chapter, which has again stepped up to support me in my most vulnerable state. I asked a question in the private Facebook group about whether I looked like a one-woman show (which, years ago, I was very proud to boast) or a corporation, because it didn’t seem to me that I was attracting the right types of clients. There is some real power in that space between hitting that Post button and waiting for a response.

Answers flowed in and I was challenged to think about whether my assumption was true, how that did or didn’t reflect what we charge, and how to probe further when money seems to be an issue for prospects. Sometimes you just gotta give a piece of yourself away to receive the abundance of wisdom.

I also connected via LinkedIn message with someone who I had volunteered with nine years ago at the Vancouver Short Film Festival. When we caught up over drinks, I realized how much we had in common spiritually and how our paths converged, even if we had completely different life and career paths. It reaffirmed the fact that sometimes the universe doesn’t provide what you want – it provides what you need.

Have you ever had an a-ha moment via social media? Would you care to share it?
