This is an archived blog from when I ran Conscious Public Relations Inc. from 2008-2018. Excuse the potential outdated-ness!
After many events this weekend, I felt an overwhelming surge of thankfulness for all that I’ve received. It’s a combination of still getting used to the new place, being able to spend quality time with my partner and family, and this amazing message from Kaare Long of a Cue Consulting I saw on Friday:
When I blog, I don’t expect to receive anything – even eyeballs – as it’s an exercise that allows me to reflect on what is going on on my world at the time. So when I receive things like this it’s amazing and validates that I am sharing something of value to others. And the funny thing is, you can only receive when you give!
Friday was a slow day for work, but I saw a few e-mails come in on Saturday which made me think that it was going to be a good and productive Monday.
Also, lots of work opportunities are starting to trickle in for March, as it usually does when people have finally gotten over the holiday break and have started planning for the year. Not every opportunity that comes in turns into real work, but I am thankful just for receiving them.
March is also the time I begin to plan for my birthday. I wanted to get away for the long weekend – somewhere close to the city – but the way things are going, it sounds like I am going to be a homebody during that time, which is fine with me, because I am loving getting together with family and friends and eating great food.
Also after seeing my brother at work at the grocery store yesterday I mentioned that I was going to purchase brown rice syrup since agave was still a little too rich for my wallet. So he stopped by and gave me a jar of brown rice syrup! I love my brother.
Have you acknowledged what you have received this past weekend?
