This is an archived blog from when I ran Conscious Public Relations Inc. from 2008-2018. Excuse the potential outdated-ness!

I’ve read a number of outstanding articles in ELLE Canada, which even published an e-mail I wrote to them last April.

This year-end issue has three articles I would encourage any discerning woman to read:

  • Holiday Misfits by Buffy Cram – Cram talks about her evolved modern family traditions with her single father. Traditions in my family? Eating till we are sick, and drama every few years or so. I could use some more adventurous traditions.
  • Happy Spending by Guy Saddy – Saddy reveals recent research on how having more money does not necessarily equal more happiness. In a magazine that has tons of ads and coverage on designer clothing, perfumes, and non-natural beauty products, this is a nice change.
  • The Way Back by Susan McClelland – Features two interviews of Ugandan women and what they went through after being abducted by Joseph Kony. These are the stories we can relate to as women, and gives a different perspective to the Kony video that went viral earlier this year.
