This is an archived blog from when I ran Conscious Public Relations Inc. from 2008-2018. Excuse the potential outdated-ness!
I am a subscriber to an online magazine called GOOD, which sends feel good stories to my e-mail inbox daily.
As much as I hate hearing about things like water bottle waste (I saw a doc at VIFF called Addicted to Plastic and that was it), I love hearing when artists and innovators reuse waste and turn it into something awesome.
GOOD and TED reported on a Ugandan eco-artist, Ruganzu Bruno Tusingwire, who won TED’s first City 2.0 Award (a $10,000 prize) and used it to construct an amusement park for kids in Kampala slums from thousands of reused plastic water bottles.
